Abuse Naidu Is Not Working For Jagan?

Criticism and counter criticism are common in politics. The ruling and opposition parties trade barbs just to gain brownie points by driving in some logic into the public. In the same way, the ruling YCP had been criticizing the opposition TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu for the last four years. YCP president and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had been leaving no opportunity to criticize Naidu at every public meeting.

Jagan had been describing Naidu as a haggard, leader of a pack of wolves, etc. but of late, even the people seem to have become bored with the diatribe. Earlier, Jagan while addressing a meeting in Srikakulam during laying the foundation for a port charged Naidu with ruining the state. Soon as the CM got into that mood of criticism, the people who gathered at meeting began leaving the premises. They left the place even when all the routes leading to the venue were closed.

Recently, during the distribution of benefit through Jagananna Vasati Deevena programme too, the public began dispersing when Jagan started narrating the story of a tiger. They jumped over the barricades and left the place, even when the CM was still continuing with the anecdote.

Political analysts said that the YCP’s strategy to abuse Naidu is not impressing the public. People are wanting development in the state but not the accusations against each other. They YCP leaders are also discussing the same issue and are of the opinion that Jagan should try to deliver what the people want rather than thrust his vengeance against Naidu on them.

Reportedly, Jagan has also taken note of the public leaving the premises during his speech on both occasions. It has to be seen if Jagan would stop practicing this in his meetings.
