Telangana CM KCR has gifted the workers in the state on the eve of May Day. May Day, also called International Labours Day, is a prominent day in the world’s history. Commemorating this, CM KCR announced a hike in remuneration to the workers of municipality and RTC.
CM KCR, district ministers and higher officials of irrigation department and RTC have convened a meeting in the new Secretariat of Telangana where the problems of the employees and workers were discussed. During this meeting, CM KCR took the decision to increase the wages of municipality and RTC workers.
The municipality workers have been hiked Rs 1000 to their existing wages. This decision has been taken with immediate effect. With this, 1,06,474 workers in Telangana state irrigation department are going to get benefitted. The move is going to bring cheer to all the workers of GHMC, Metropolitan Water Supply & Sewage workers, workers of all Municipal corporations, all Gram Panchayats will also benefitted. At the same time, it has been decided to increase the wages for RTC workers as well. CM KCR directed the finance department to take necessary measures to increase wages for RTC workers.
CM KCR stated that the Telangana state government is recognising all the efforts and hard work of the workers and employees with the slogan, “Saphayanna Neeku Salam”. KCR said the sacrifices of the workers have been recognised since the formation of the Telangana state. CM KCR said the state government is working for the welfare and progress of all the workers. He said Telangana villages and towns are receiving awards due to the hard work of the workers. He reiterated that every worker’s welfare and development is the agenda of the state government.
