Daughters Fight: Akhila Priya vs Jashwanti Reddy

The rivalry between former minister Bhuma Akhila Priya and former APMIC chairman A.V. Subba Reddy took a violent turn during TDP general secretary N. Lokesh Yuva Galam padayatra. The padayatra reached Nandyal and the supporters of both groups got ready to welcome the TDP scion.

Suddenly, tempers ran high and the supporters of both clashed with each other after Akhila Priya alleged that Subba Reddy caught her by chunni and tried to strangulate her to death.

In the violence that followed, the former minister chased AV Subba Reddy and he even suffered bleeding injuries. His shirt also was torn and Subba Reddy started bleeding from the nose and he was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Police took Akhila Priya into custody and shifted her to Panyam after registering cases under various sections of IPC.

Subba Reddy’s daughter Jashwanti Reddy condemned the attack on her father by Akhila and called her ‘dunnapothu’. She termed the former minister as a woman without morals and said that she should remember that she leveled baseless allegations against a man, who was like her father.

My father carried Akhila in his arms when she was a baby. Akhila’s father Bhuma Nagi Reddy also said that in several public meetings that he and AV Subba Reddy had no differences, Jashwanti reminded.

Jashwanti also warned Akhila that she will have to pay a price for the attack on her father. She got my father attacked without any sense, she said.

This is not the first time that my father was attacked, she said and urged the TDP leadership to keep this in mind while issuing tickets to their families.

At the same time, she also said that she and her family would toil to defeat Akhila Priya if she was fielded by the TDP from Allagadda or Nandyal.
