Popular YouTube star Gangavva has tendered an apology to Telugu Desam chief Chandrababu Naidu and she put out a video on social media saying sorry. This video has gone viral and many are digging deep into the details of Gangavva’s apology.
The apology has a connection with a special television episode that was aired in a private Telugu entertainment channel during Ugadi festival. Participating in this show, a game was organised for the guests and when it was Gangavva’s turn, she was asked to say something while looking at the pictures of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh.
“He is in a bad phase (Grahanam Pattukundi),” said Gangavva in Telugu. This video had surfaced on the internet and netizens were unimpressed. Some criticised Gangavva and added that the fame has gone into her head. With the video storming the internet, Gangavva has come out and issued an apology with a clarification.
“Whatever I have said in the show, was scripted. I was bound to say it and I regret my remarks. I would like to tender an unconditional apology to TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. To people who know me, I’m never such a person yet I urge you all to excuse my actions and comments,” said Gangavva in the video.
Gangavva who in her late 60s featured in a YouTube show and earned fame. Subsequently she appeared in reality show Bigg Boss and spread her fan base. This is probably the first time that she landed in a controversy for a scripted television show. Hope the controversy can settle now.
