Pawan Kalyan’s comments on volunteers seem to have hit hard. The grama volunteers made huge fuss and took to protests across the state. AP Women Commission served notices to Pawan. Yet, nothing has stopped Pawan. He went on to attack the ruling party and volunteers. Amidst this, state ministers are responding to it one after the other.
Housing Minister Jogi Ramesh stated that the YSRCP will field a volunteer against Pawan Kalyan and just volunteer would defeat Pawan in a direct election. Ramesh attended the constituency meeting at Mummidivaram of Konaseema district during which he made these comments. He said volunteers are locals who are appointed to serve and meet the needs of the local people.
Minister Ramesh said Pawan Kalyan is labeling the grama volunteers as anti-social elements and women traffickers which isn’t true. Ramesh said Pawan’s comments on volunteers are reflecting his own nature and character. Minister criticised former CM Chandrababu and said the credit goes to CBN for “destroying” the institutions of democracy.
Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh and Pawan Kalyan are stating that they will remove grama volunteers if they come to power, stated minister. He challenged Pawan Kalyan to contest elections directly if he has guts. Ramesh said TDP, Janasena are jointly contesting against CM Jagan as they lack enough strength. He said they will lose the elections and CM Jagan will be back in power.
