Anju Yadav Issue: What Is PK’s Strategy?

Jana Sena president Pawan Kalyan has been raking up the issue of Srikalahasti CI Anju Yadav manhandling one of his party activists with a purpose. He even lodged a complaint on the issue with the Tirupati SP and demanded disciplinary action against the ‘erring’ CI.

In fact, the issue is a minor incident. However, Pawan has been trying to amplify it with an agenda, feel political observers.

Ahead of the elections, political parties try to cash in on every incident and make an issue of everything to gain political mileage. This incident is also being magnified, as part of a strategy.

No officer would manhandle the public without being provocated. There must have been some dispute between the CI and the JS activists. However, that did not reflect in any of the records. The video just showed the woman CI slapping the activist and hence, it became an issue. Pawan’s agenda could be sending a strong signal that he would not keep quiet if any of his party men were attacked. This would prompt many JS activists to come into the public fearlessly in the coming days. Also, it would be a moral boost to the party men.

Till now, Pawan Kalyan is the only leader for the party but after this ruckus, even activists would come on to the roads and exhibit their loyalty to their leader, if they are assured that their boss would come to their rescue. Pawan too wants committed leaders and activists for the party. By responding to the issue, Pawan is trying to build the party cadre, political observers opined.
