#VivekaMuder: Sharmila Suspects Avinash Reddy!

YSRTP president Y.S. Sharmila made it clear that Y.S. Vivekanada Reddy’s murder was committed for political reasons but not for family or financial issues.

In the chargesheet filed by the CBI in connection with Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy’s murder, Sharmila’s statements which were recorded in October 2022, came up for discussion.

When she deposed before the CBI, she also mentioned that their cousin Y.S. Avinash Reddy and her uncle Viveka were at loggerheads with each other since long. The murder could have been plotted because the accused could have felt that Viveka was being a hurdle to him, in his political career.

She also reportedly said that a few days before the murder, Viveka came to her residence in Bengaluru during which he urged her to contest for the Kadapa MP seat. “If not you, it can be anybody from the YS family but not Avinash,” Viveka told Sharmila.

Sharmila also reportedly told the CBI that Viveka approached her with a confidence that she would be able to manage that the Kadapa MP ticket would be not be given to Avinash.

She also told the CBI that though their families appear to be friendly with one another on the outside, there is always a cold war between them inside.

She also admitted that the difference between Viveka and their families had increased after Viveka contested against Vijayamma for the Kadapa MP seat. “It is because of this disturbance, that he wanted me to get into the fray.”

However, she finally reportedly said that she suspects Avinash Reddy and Bhaskar Reddy behind the murder.
