The Telugu Desham Party (TDP) is set to face another jolt in Andhra Pradesh as its MLA (Vishakapatnam South) Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar is likely to switch loyalties to ruling YSR Congress Party.
Ganesh, who’s distanced himself from all key activities of TDP from last few days, is expected to meet Jagan Mohan Reddy before joining the ruling party.
Ganesh may not directly enter YCP, but he is likely to extend his support to the ruling party from outside like other MLAs who won from TDP- Vallabhaneni Vamsi, Karanam Balaram and Maddali Giri. Speculations are rife that Ganesh’s sons will officially take the membership of ruling Party.
After sweeping the polls with a thumping majority of 151 seats, YSRCP chief and AP CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy made it clear that he won’t allow elected representative into his party directly. ‘If someone wants to join our party, they should first submit a resignation and get re-elected,’ said Jagan in first assembly session after he took oath.
