Galla Back To Active Politics?

The Galla family has a solid base and good charisma in direct politics. While Galla Aruna Kumari was a hattrick MLA from Chandragiri Assembly constituency, Galla Jayadev is a two-time MP representing Guntur Lok Sabha constituency. However, after losing Chandragiri MLA seat in 2019, Galla Aruna stayed away from the party activities and was not actively involved in the day-to-day affairs. In fact, she had conveyed to the party that she may opt out of politics. There were strong speculations that she may not contest again. 

Meanwhile, buzz is that her son and Guntur MP Galla Jayadev too expressed to party chief Chandrababu about his disinterest in contesting for Guntur Lok Sabha in 2024 general election. Apparently, Galla Jayadev told Chandrababu to look for a strong candidate to contest the Guntur seat as his replacement. 

Now, suddenly, Galla Aruna Kumari has become active in Chandragiri constituency. Aruna is meeting the party leaders and touring around the constituency. She is interacting with the locals and taking note of their problems. This is giving indication that Galla Aruna is getting back to active politics and she may contest from Chandragiri Assembly. Apparently, Chandrababu Naidu and Nara Lokesh have asked Galla Aruna to take part in the party activities ahead of the polls. Meanwhile, TDP’s top brass is also not keen to lose Galla Jayadev. Looks like, Galla family is not out of public life.
