The world of Telugu journalism mourns the loss of the eminent journalist and astute political analyst, CHVM Krishna Rao, who breathed his last at the age of 64.
Fondly known as “Babai” among his loved ones, Krishna Rao’s extensive career in journalism stands as a testament to his unwavering commitment to the field. He leaves behind a legacy of profound contributions to numerous newspapers, spanning both English and Telugu mediums.
Krishna Rao embarked on his illustrious 47-year journey in journalism back in 1975, starting as a diligent stringer. Throughout the years, his dedication led him to esteemed publications such as Eenadu, Andhraprabha, Andhrabhoomi, Deccan Chronicle, and The New Indian Express. Notably, Krishna Rao served as the head of the news bureau at Deccan Chronicle for an impressive span of 18 years.
Unfortunately, Krishna Rao had been courageously battling cancer over the past year. He leaves behind his wife, a son, and a daughter, as well as a cherished legacy within the journalism community.
