Prisoners Won’t Get ‘Work From Home’ – Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy

Former Chief Minister of AP, Chandrababu Naidu moved the AP High Court against the ACB court order remanding him to 14 days of judicial custody in the skill development program scam case. The house remand request has been rejected by the ACB court.

The arguments between Chandrababu’s lawyers and the government lawyers were heard to be intense in the court. Amid this, the Advocate general to the state government, Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy spoke to the press about Chandrababu’s house remand request.

Ponnavolu says the ‘House remand’ doesn’t exist and he satirically questions if prisoners be given a ‘work from home’ before asking what message Chandrababu wants to give through his requests. Ponnavolu said that 90 percent of people have BP and diabetes but there is no such thing called a ‘house remand.’

Ponnavolu emphasized that the AP government is very alert about Chandrababu’s safety and facilities. He revealed to the media that he received a letter from the Deputy General of Jails that the former CM was being provided with all said amenities. He also mentioned that the state government has been very fair and open in providing medicines, and home food to Naidu.

The AAG also made it clear that the former CM is under tight security with 24×7 CCTV monitoring and also the doctors are available next to his ward always.
