Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao made a shocking revelation about his political life. He said that he would retire from politics.
Speaking to mediapersons in Srikakulam, he said that he would stay away from politics in the next elections. “I would like to take rest for the rest of my life,” he said.
He said that he had already informed Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy about his decision but that the CM had asked him to contest the elections for the last time in 2024.
Dharmana said that he told the CM that he was ready to work for the party but that he cannot contest the elections.
He said that he cannot work in politics any more. “Having entered into politics at a very young age, I had contested elections for 12 times and have been here for 40 years,” he recalled.
“In politics, there will not be much difference between victory and defeat.”
However, he said that though he would not be active in politics, he would continue to serve the people.
