Telagnana BJP state president and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy met Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan this morning.
According to reports, he requested Pawan not to contest polls in Telangana but render support to the BJP in the state. Pawan said he would discuss about the issue and then take a decision.
In neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, the JS leader extended solidarity with the TDP and the party Telangana unit president Kasani Gyaneshwar Mudiraj said that Pawan’s party is likely to support their party in the state. However, he said their party boss N. Chandrababu Naidu would take a final decision about the poll alliance in the state.
In Telangana, the BJP and the TDP are keen to contest all the Assembly seats which means they would not leave any for the Jana Sena to show its strength.
Now, will the Jana Sena be reduced to just a mute spectator only involved in the campaigning but not contesting for any seat in Telangana?
Since the beginning of the JS alliance with the BJP, the Jana Senanis have been feeling that they were being sidelined and not being allowed to grow along with the BJP. Will this move be the last straw for the JS-BJP alliance to break up?
