TDP Ready To Accept BJP’s Request?

With elections just a month away, all political parties in Telangana are completely involved in designing poll strategies and campaigning.

The BJP is keen on coming to power in Telangana and the top leaders have studied all the factors that could help them clinch victory. As part of its poll strategy, the BJP, it is learnt, has reportedly asked the TDP to stay away from the elections in the BJP, with an idea to divert all its votes to their party.

In return, the BJP is likely to assist the TDP in Andhra Pradesh. The BJP is in alliance with the Jana Sena but has not made any announcement with regard to the tie-up with the TDP, even though the latter has been trying hard for it. TDP scion N. Lokesh could have been apprised of this formula during his recent visits to Delhi, political analysts said.

Earlier, T-TDP chief Kasani Gyaneshwar had declared that they are ready to contest from 87 constituencies but now, he seems to have bowed down to the political pressure. This indicates that the TDP would abstain from the elections completely in Telangana.

So, it has to be seen if the TDP would sacrifice contesting in Telangana to achieve its goal in AP.
