Personal Attack On Purandeswari: Sai Reddy’s Self-Goal?

Vijay Sai Reddy unveiled an all-round attack against AP BJP chief Daggubati Purandeswari. He is aggressively targeting the former Purandeswari, who is known to have a soft image. She is not just a woman politician and intellectual; she is the daughter of the legendary NTR and commands a great family legacy. The manner in which Sai Reddy is resorting to a personal attack against Purandeswari has shocked many. Especially accusing Purandeswari of being “greedy” and “money-minded” is certainly not appreciated by some YSRCP leaders too.

Several political experts are finding fault with Vijay Sai Reddy’s personal attack. Many are suggesting Sai Reddy go slow against Purandeswari and rather pick a different topic. In the first place, BJP is insignificant in AP politics. BJP has no presence and strength. Even if Purandeswari supports Chandrababu for her own reasons, why is Sai Reddy so worried? This is the moot question.

He is stressing that TDP is supporting the Congress in Telangana and thus mounting pressure on Purandeswari and BJP to stay away from TDP and Janasena in AP. It can be noted that TDP and Janasena have openly announced their alliance. Pawan Kalyan has expressed hope that BJP would join them.

Targeting Purandeswari is considered a wrong move and is suspected to backfire.
