The Congress camp is celebrating their victory in the Telangana election. The early trends started to come out at 11 AM and the celebrations started then itself. Incidentally, Telangana DGP Anjani Kumar met TPCC president Revanth Reddy at around 12:30 PM today and congratulated him on the electoral victory,
However, Anjani Kumar’s act has landed him in trouble as the Election Commission found fault with the formal meeting and has suspended the top cop effective immediately.
The EC stated that DGP meeting a party president even before the results are announced is against the model code of conduct and suspended him on the mentioned grounds.
Earlier, DGP Anjani Kumar, along with Sanjay Jain, State Police Nodal Officer, Telangana, and Mahesh Bhagwat had met Revanth Reddy and handed over a flower bouquet.
EC suspended Anjani Kumar and sent notices to Mahesh and Sanjay Jain to explain themselves.
