The Telangana cabinet is getting completely revamped today with the swearing in of the new chief minister, Revanth Reddy, deputy chief minister Bhatti Vikramarka, and 9 other cabinet ministers.
The news now is about the new speaker of Telangana assembly and he is Gaddam Prasad.
Gaddam Prasad won as MLA from Vikarabad constituency and he has now been appointed as the speaker. He is from the SC community as Congress high command has followed community-wise distribution while allotting him the post.
Prasad has been a loyalist for the party for many years. He first won as an MLA in 2008 and was even included in the cabinet then. His loyalty has been rewarded again now as he is announced as the new speaker of Telangana cabinet.
