Revanth Reddy To Award Kodandaram With A Key Role?

Revanth Reddy, recently sworn in as the Chief Minister of Telangana, is actively assembling his team and making strategic decisions. In a recent cabinet meeting, he appointed Shivadhar Reddy as the Intelligence Chief and finalized the Chief Secretary for the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO). Revanth, who has expressed his commitment to involving activists in the government, is reportedly considering offering a significant role to TJS president and Telangana movement leader Professor Kodandaram. Close associates of the Chief Minister suggest that Kodandaram might be appointed as the chief advisor to the government.

Sources reveal that Revanth Reddy values Kodandaram’s cooperation in governance and has held multiple meetings with him before the elections. Having formed an alliance with Congress during the elections, Kodandaram has been a vocal critic of the previous government. Revanth, at an employees’ function at the secretariat, accused the KCR government of neglecting trade unions and vowed to act as a bridge between the new government and employees. Reliable information indicates that Kodandaram may be entrusted with a key position in the government, possibly as the chief advisor.

Revanth Reddy is reportedly considering intellectuals for various roles, and Kodandaram’s expertise in state resources, education, and administration aligning with Telangana’s interests makes him a valuable candidate for the advisor position. The CM has already relieved advisors from the previous government of their duties, indicating a restructuring of advisory roles. The responsibilities of the Telangana Public Service Commission are also under discussion, and it is expected that one of these key positions will be finalized for Kodandaram in the coming week as part of the ongoing recruitment process.
