IAS officer Smitha Sabharwal, associated with Telangana former CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao, is likely to get an elevation and be absorbed into the Central services. She served as the special secretary to the CMO during the BRS rule.
According to information, Sabharwal had applied for transfer to the Central services.
At present, she is discharging duties as the principal secretary of the irrigation department.
She supervised the works of Kaleshwaram project and Mission Bhagiratha and played a prominent role in the framing of several policies in the BRS government.
Since the Congress government assumed office, Sabharwal remained low profile and stayed away from public gaze.
