Coming Up: KCR’s Response To Revanth

The new CM of Telangana Revanth Reddy made a few pretty serious allegations about KCR as he noted that the former CM flouted the regulations for the distribution of Krishna waters at will. The primary allegation is that KCR bowed to AP’s pressure and gave away Telangana’s waters. With the Telangana Lok Sabha elections just a few weeks away, this allegation could work against BRS, further weakening the party after the assembly elections defeat.

But KCR, being a senior tactician has worked out a counter to Revanth’s allegation and he plans to start his counterattack with his first major public meeting in Nalgonda that is to happen on February 15th or 16th. KCR will use this meeting to publicly announce that all of Revanth’s allegations are non-factual. He is preparing elongated material to debunk the allegations and will use his oratory skills to take this to the public. He is also likely to issue a white-paper on the operations of the ex-BRS government on the Krishna waters distribution.

Not only that, KCR has advised BRS leaders to prepare pamphlets with detailed explanations of the Krishna and Godavari water distribution allegations made by Congress and how they are not true. BRS is set to use these white-papers and pamphlets to reduce the impact of the allegations levelled against the party.

These MP elections are of top importance for Revanth as he is looking to score cent marks at the high command by winning big and also silent the other camp in Congress that is internally against him. KCR is looking at these elections as a decisive mandate after the loss in assembly elections. The first aim is to keep ahold of the 8 MP seats that BRS won in 2019 as any further slip ups in the MP polls will mean that BRS will weaken further and lose more of its MLAs and MPs to Congress.
