West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee was admitted to the hospital last night with an injury on the forehead.
Earlier reports mentioned that she suffered a fall at her home, but the statement from the hospital reads that she was admitted to the hospital at around 7:30 pm with a history of fall within the vicinity of her home due to some ‘push’ from behind.
According to the hospital statement, Mamata suffered a cerebral concussion, and a sharp cut on her forehead and nose. Three stitches have been applied on the forehead and one on the nose.
She was advised to remain admitted for observation, but Mamata preferred to go home. She will again be assessed on March 15.
No further details are provided for now except that she suffered a fall from a ‘push’, for now.
