Official: YS Sharmila Contesting As MP Candidate In Kadapa

In an expected move, YS Sharmila announced officially that she is contesting for an MP seat in Kadapa from the Congress party.

Earlier, it was reported that party seniors asked YS Sharmila to contest for MLA seat against Jagan in Pulivendula and Sharmila did not rule it out saying she or anyone from the party will be ready to contest anywhere the high command decides. Today, she announced she will be contesting as MP candidate from Kadapa.

YS Sharmila while announcing said, ‘This decision is not an easy one for me. This will divide my family. Jagan is my brother and he is my blood. I don’t hate him. He is not the same man who once called and said I am his ‘bidda’ not sister and I don’t even know this Jagan now. Jagan Mohan Reddy destroyed my people and encouraged murder-politics in Kadapa and announced the ticket to the people who killed Vivekananda Reddy.’

‘Vivekananda Reddy’s last wish was to see me contesting for an MP seat. I could not understand why he insisted so much on me contesting the elections. If Jagan could not get justice for YSR’s brother, what good he brings to the people?

YS Sharmila further denounced his promises on special status, liquor ban, and Polavaram project and alleged that he joined hands with BJP. It has to be seen how YSRC reacts to YS Sharmila contesting in elections in Kadapa. YS Sharmila will be contesting against Avinash Reddy in Kadapa.
