Highways Leading to Andhra Witness Heavy Traffic

The highways leading from Hyderabad to Andhra Pradesh are currently experiencing heavy traffic and witnessing congestion everywhere. This is because of Andhra-Rayalaseema-based residents of Hyderabad heading home to cast their votes in the upcoming general elections.

This surge in travel has left the Outer Ring Road (ORR) checkposts in Hyderabad, particularly the Hayat Nagar circle and other exit points, congested with vehicles, causing traffic jams. With bus and train tickets not available, as the voting day happens to be a paid holiday and that too a long weekend is coming up (Saturday to Monday), many individuals are opting for carpooling too.

The reason for this mass travel of voters from Hyderabad to Andhra Pradesh showcases that the citizens have taken their rights seriously and want to do their part in the Andhra Pradesh general election. With most Hyderabad-living Andhra folks being fans of ‘Hitech City’, many are already guessing who they are going to vote for.

An opinion is that this massive incoming of voters into Andhra Pradesh is expected to significantly impact the voting percentage in the upcoming elections. Go vote guys, May 13th is the date!
