The Three BJP main leaders in Andhra Pradesh, who remained silent even during the campaigning phase, drew the attention of the public. Many of them are wondering what would they do once the poll results are out.
Apparently, Somu Veerraju, Vishnuvardhan Reddy and GVL Narasimha Rao are completely dissatisfied with the BJP leadership and have gone into the silent mode, expressing their dissent.
Though Somu Veerraju was AP BJP former president, he was not visible throughout during the party’s campaigning in the state. He had been opposing the BJP’s alliance with the TDP but could not go against the party leadership and remained silent.
It is learnt that the choice of candidates and allocation of constituencies left Somu disillusioned. It is to be noted that though BJP AP president Purandeswari contested as the MP candidate from Rajahmundry, Somu maintained stoic silence.
Though belonging to Kadiri constituency, Vishnuvardhan Reddy aspired to contest from Hindupur constituency. However, he could not get the ticket, due to the seat sharing as part of the tripartite alliance between TDP, BJP and JSP.
Rajya Sabha member GVL Narasimha Rao also aspired for a ticket from Vizag but was disappointed when the party leadership refused to give any priority to him. He was confined to campaigning for the party candidates in the state.
