When Telugudesam supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu ascended to power in 2019, his biggest promise was to complete the Polavaram project though the Central Government is not releasing funds quickly for the same.
With all the hurdles around, he managed to wrap it. But then, if he was in power for another year so, Polavaram would have become a practical possibility by now. Do you know what happened in Jagan’s regime later?
After visiting the Polavaram Dam and noticing the status of the works completed, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was shocked today. “Had the Polavaram works continued like that, it would have been finished by 2020.
But the works are now left to air for 5 years without any progress. Engineers and experts are saying that it would take another 4 years easily for the works to be completed in case if they happen without any interruption from now”, said Naidu, in an interaction.
Without taking the name of YS Jagan, Naidu further added, “This is how one person became a curse to Andhra Pradesh state”. In the wake of the Vizag palace scam, furniture-theft and other accusations popping up on the former Chief Minister, Polavaram’s negligency sounds to be the biggest of all.
