Andhra Pradesh is getting a new project, a round-the-clock renewable energy supply facility soon to be built by ACME Cleantech, a domestic supplier of renewable energy infrastructure.
This project will be capable of supplying uninterrupted nationwide power during peak hours.
ACME Cleantech bagged a giant project in a tender process conducted by the Solar Energy Corporation Of India (SECI) to build this facility in Andhra Pradesh. The company revealed it has secured a loan of Rs. 5600 crores from Power Finance Corporation. The loan tenor can be 17 years.
The project aims to establish 1.2 gigawatts of hybrid renewable energy projects, utilizing wind and solar power and supported by battery storage technology.
ReNew Power, Hero Future Energies, and Amp Energy also won parts of the tender. ReNew Power received the largest allocation to build 600 megawatts and ACME has secured 380 Megawatts of projects.
However, the dealine for the completion of this project is not revealed.
