The NDA passed the otherwise anxious test of electing the speaker of the parliament today. Needless to say, TDP played a crucial role in the speaker election today and the whole saga meant so much to Narendra Modi that he personally met the TDP MPs later and thanked them.
Modi with all 16 of TDP MPs a short while back and reportedly had a pleasant conversation with them. He then thanked Chandrababu Naidu for his cooperation with the NDA.
Modi tweeted “Met MP colleagues from TDP. Our Parties are working closely at the Centre and in Andhra Pradesh under the leadership of my friend Chandrababu Garu. We will do everything possible for the progress of India and the development of AP.”
Modi referring to Chandrababu as a “Friend” and thanking him shows the kind of increased prominence that Naidu and his TDP camp is enjoying at the center.
TDP MPs Lavu Krishnadeva Rayulu, Pemmasani, Rammohan Naidu, Appala Naidu, Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy, and others partook in the meeting with Naidu today.
