‘Modi Pilaka Naidu Chethilo Undi’

The President of the Andhra Pradesh Congress wing, YS Sharmila, has emerged from a period of hibernation and resumed her political commentary on AP politics after disappearing for a while following the polls. In her initial attack, she targeted Chandrababu Naidu over the Polavaram project and connected it with his influence in the central government.

Sharmila remarked that it is not appropriate for Chandrababu to claim that the construction of Polavaram would take another 5 years, considering his significant influence at the center.

“During YSR’s tenure, Polavaram was supposed to be completed with a budget of Rs 10,000 crore, but due to the negligence of Chandrababu and Jagan Reddy, it is now projected to cost Rs 76,000 crore. I believe Chandrababu has Modi in his pocket and he can exert pressure on him for the sake of Andhra Pradesh.” Sharmila’s exact words were “Modi Pilaka Chandrababu Chethilo undi”.

Sharmila mentioned that Chandrababu is in a position to dictate terms at the center and urged him to take necessary actions to elevate Andhra Pradesh and ensure the completion of the Polavaram project.

While Sharmila has achieved her goal of removing her brother Jagan Mohan Reddy from the CM’s chair, it remains to be seen if she will maintain consistency in Andhra Pradesh politics going forward.
