BRS Party is currently going through a tough time. The party lost power in the recently concluded general elections in Telangana state. Not only that, the party also faced a humiliating defeat in the parliamentary elections. Now, Rajendar Nagar MLA Prakash Gowd has switched his loyalty from BRS to Congress.
Prakash Gowd was in Tirupati this morning where he had Lord Balaji Darshan. After the darshan, he spoke to the media and confirmed his exit from BRS. Speaking to the media, Prakash Gowd said that KCR has done exceptionally well, but he would like to extend his support to the current young and dynamic Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy.
Prakash Gowd is scheduled to meet Revanth Reddy this evening at 7 PM. He mentioned that having the government’s support is crucial for developing the constituency, which is why he opted to change parties.
There are rumors that more MLAs representing Hyderabad city are expected to switch parties. However, the BRS party intends to fight this poaching on legal grounds.
