Vijaya Sai Reddy’s “Gay” Satire on Journalists

YCP firebrand Vijayasai Reddy held an explosive press conference today, where he vehemently criticized a section of the media over reports about his alleged illicit relationship with a female associate.

During the press meet, Vijayasai took an unexpected turn by making a “gay” reference involving a male journalist, creating an awkward moment at the venue.

In his effort to illustrate how certain media houses manipulate perceptions, Vijayasai used a “gay” analogy.

“You are a male journalist whom I have never met before today. For instance, if we were to meet another 3-4 times in the future, certain media houses might report that we are a gay couple. How could we defend against such allegations? This is exactly what has happened in my case, where they have propagated false claims of an illicit relationship with an innocent female,” Vijayasai stated.

While Vijayasai’s frustration on the topic is understandable, his choice of using a “gay” relationship with a male journalist as an example made everyone present feel uncomfortable. As a Rajya Sabha MP and a close associate of YCP leader Jagan Mohan Reddy, better communication skills are expected from him.
