Revanth Reddy Rejects 100 Cr Donation From Adani

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy made a sensational decision regarding a ₹100 crore donation offered by industrialist Gautam Adani to the Young India Skill University. Revanth announced that the Telangana government will not accept the donation from Adani, given the ongoing controversies surrounding him.

Adani, who has been facing allegations of corruption related to solar power deals and has a case filed against him in the United States, is accused of bribing several state Chief Ministers, including Andhra Pradesh’s former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. Against this backdrop, Revanth Reddy took a bold stand, rejecting the donation outright.

For the past few days, the Adani issue has been a hot topic across the country. Amid this, BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) accused Revanth of having secret agreements with Adani, suggesting that the Telangana government’s acceptance of the ₹100 crore donation was evidence of their collaboration.

Responding to these allegations, Revanth clarified that while many donors, including Adani, have contributed to the university, the Telangana government has no connection to the ongoing controversies involving Adani. He also noted that the Constitution provides every businessman the right to donate but emphasized that Telangana is not involved in Adani’s disputes.

Revanth further stated that considering the recent developments, the Telangana government has decided not to accept Adani’s donation. He confirmed that an official letter was sent to the Adani Group by government representative Jayesh Ranjan, explicitly asking them not to transfer the ₹100 crore donation to the university. Revanth reiterated that Telangana does not want any association with Adani and has rejected the funds outright.
