There is no debating the fact that the brutal murder of former TDP MLA and firebrand leader Paritala Ravi is one of the most significant historic incidents in Telugu state politics. Several years after this heinous murder, there is some substantial development in the police case pertaining to the same.
Andhra Pradesh High Court granted bail to 5 people who are accused in this Paritala Ravi murder case.
Narayana Reddy (A 3), V Rekhamaiah (A4), Bhajana Ranganayakulu (A5), A Kondaiah (A6) and Medimi Obi Reddy (A8) were all granted by the AP high court today. They are adjudicated to be directly involved with this highly significant murder case and they have all managed to secure the bail at once today, roughly 19 years after the incident.
The High Court instructed Anantapur district magistrate to mandate these five accused to appear at the jurisdictional police station every Monday. Their bail will be cancelled with immediate effect if they partake in any further crimes or anti social activities.
These men are allegedly related to Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy alias Maddelacheruvu Suri who himself was shot dead a few years ago.
It is known that Paritala Ravi was shot dead in broad daylight while he was coming out of the Telugu Desam Party office in Penukonda in on January 24, 2005. 19 years later, his shooters P Narayana Reddy and Rekhamaiah, along with three others are let out on bail.
