The former IT minister of Telangana KTR has come under the radar of the ACB and ED. He is being extensively targeted by the investigation agencies regarding the Formula E scam where he is accused of verbally consenting a Rs 55 crore transaction against the regulations.
In this context, KTR arrived at the ACB office in Hyderabad along with his legal team. However, he was denied permission to enter the premises by the investigation authorities as they were not appreciative of KTR bringing his lawyers with him.
Just hours after this mishap at the ACB office today, the agency has now served another notice to KTR and summoned him to appear for investigation on January 9. Again, it has been mentioned that KTR must come to the premises without his legal team and corporate for the investigation.
Earlier, in the day, there were unverified media reports that certain search operations happened at the residence of KTR. But this wasn’t officially confirmed by the authorities. Shortly after, the news about the second round of ACB notices to KTR have surfaced in the media.
KTR is reluctant to take part in the investigation without his legal team’s presence. But the investigation agencies are firm on investigating him in the absence of his lawyers. It has to be seen where this episode will end up.
