Lady Superstar Nayanthara was recently embroiled in a controversy when Dhanush disagreed to allow her to use stills and videos from Naanum Rowdy Dhaan for her wedding documentary. She penned an open letter to Dhanush, accusing him of being a hypocrite.
Now, the producers of Chandramukhi have also sent a legal notice to the actress, seeking compensation of Rs. 5 crore rupees. Reportedly, the documentary used a clip from Nayanthara’s earlier super-hit film Chandramukhi. The producers claim that she used the clip without proper authorization.
Hence, the producers sent a legal notice to Nayanthara and Netflix, seeking Rs. 5 crore in compensation for the illegal use of their content. However, there is a twist to the same. In one of the earlier notes that Nayan released, she thanked the producers of Chandramukhi for allowing her to use the material of the film in the documentary.
Nayanthara thanked Sivaji Productions in her earlier thanks note, but today, the producers reportedly filed a legal notice, which is quite surprising. Either, Nayan must have used something to which the producers have not given the authorisation or there must be a misunderstanding too.
