The former IT minister of Telangana, KTR is finding himself in the middle of an intense ACB investigation regarding the Formula E case. He partook in the investigation yesterday and was grilled all day long by the authorities.
It is being reported that KTR was asked around 80-82 questions by the authorities. He was intensely questioned the nature of the deals that were made regarding the car race project.
KTR reportedly stated that he had indeed permitted the allocation of funds to the private companies which is the main allegation against him. When asked his intention behind the same, as he did not take the cabinet’s approval or the RBI’s approval for the transaction, KTR reportedly replied it was a quick decision and it is very common.
The former IT minister was reportedly grilled on several topics related to the Formula E case. After the completion of the investigation later in the evening, the authorities reportedly communicated that KTR might have to come to investigation again if prompted.
Shortly after the investigation, KTR stepped out of the ACB office and tried to interact with the media. When the ACB police advised against the same, KTR had an altercation with the DCP and said he is entitled to it.
Later, KTR went to meet the BRS leaders and had a brief interaction with Harish Rao who looked very relieved after seeing KTR come out after the investigation.
Notably, KTR must again go to the ED investigation on the same case on January 16 which is going to be a crucial step in this investigation.
