Jagan Escaped From Deep Legal Mess!

Former AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has been having a tough time lately after the defeat in the recent election. His desired number 2 man Vijaya Sai Reddy has also left him, while the legal proceedings on the CBI and ED cases against him were brought under increased scrutiny.

However, in what could be considered a significant relief to Jagan the Supreme Court delivered a key statement in the case that was filed by Deputy Speaker Raghu Rama Krishna Raju to speed up the cases against Jagan.

RRR earlier filed a plea to speed up the investigation on the CBI and ED cases against Jagan as they’ve been in court for over a decade. He also urged to transfer the case to outside of Telangana due to the extreme delay.

In this context, the Supreme Court reprimanded Raghurama and stated that there is no need to cancel Jagan’s bail on an immediate basis. The court mentioned that existing legal proceedings are in place, and there is no need to create a new discourse now.

The apex court further added that there is no need to transfer the case to some other state either. “Do you expect us to monitor every such case? It is not right to bring such pleas in front of the Supreme Court” the statement reads.

This comes as a huge relief to Jagan. Had the court felt it was legally binding to cancel his bail or transfer the case, he would’ve found himself in a deep legal mess. Luckily for him, that didn’t happen, despite the fact that CBI and ED charges against him have been in court for the last 12 years.
