Nagababu, who started off his career as an actor and subsequnetly progressed into a film producer, tasted both success and failures in his career. The disaster result of Orange pushed him into steep losses. Nagababu moved into politics. First he had supported Chiranjeevi during Praja Rajyam Party. Later, Nagababu stood as a pillar of support for Pawan Kalyan in Janasena Party. He has become a harsh critic of Pawan Kalyan’s political rivals – Jagan and Chandrababu – according to the situations. This has been finally rewarded by Pawan Kalyan.
After failing to bag TTD Chairman position and Rajya Sabha nomination, Nagababu has been finally chosen for the MLC post, a decision strategically backed by his brother, Pawan Kalyan. Nagababu successfully completed the nomination process and submitted the required documents to the Election Commission, detailing his assets, liabilities, and pending cases. Notably, Nagababu has no criminal cases against him, which is a laudable thing.
According to the MLC nomination affidavit, Nagababu has investments worth ₹55.37 crore in mutual funds and bonds. He holds ₹21.81 lakh in cash and ₹23.53 lakh in bank deposits. Additionally, he has extended loans totaling ₹1.03 crore to others.
His affidavit also lists his luxury vehicles, including a Mercedes-Benz worth ₹67.28 lakh and a Hyundai car valued at ₹11.04 lakh. He possesses 226 grams of gold worth ₹18.10 lakh, while his wife owns 724 grams of gold valued at ₹57.9 lakh, 20 kg of silver worth ₹21.40 lakh, and 55 carats of diamonds valued at ₹16.50 lakh. The total value of their movable assets stands at ₹59.12 crore.
Regarding immovable assets, Nagababu owns 2.39 acres of land in different locations in Ranga Reddy district, valued at ₹3.55 crore. Additionally, he possesses 3.28 acres in Narsapur, Medak district, worth ₹32.80 lakh, and another five-acre property in the same region valued at ₹50 lakh. He also has 1.07 acres in Tekulapalli, Ranga Reddy district, valued at ₹53.50 lakh, along with a 460-square-foot residential villa in Manikonda, Hyderabad, valued at ₹2.88 crore. The total value of his immovable assets amounts to ₹11.20 crore.
On the liabilities front, Nagababu has a housing loan of ₹56.97 lakh across two banks and a car loan of ₹7.54 lakh. He also owes ₹1.64 crore to private individuals. Additionally, he has borrowed ₹28.48 lakh from his elder brother Chiranjeevi and ₹6.9 lakh from his younger brother Pawan Kalyan.
Nagababu’s financial disclosures have become a hot topic in both political and film circles, sparking discussions about his extensive assets and liabilities.
