One of the true blue representatives of the Kapu community Harirama Jogaiah is still relevant in AP politics as he always tends to give running commentary on the political matters that he deems fit. He is one of the valued senior personalities who are adored by JSP chief Pawan Kalyan.
Coming to the topic, the senior political commentator, and observer had remarked that spending Rs 50,000 crore on the Amaravati project is not a wise thing to do. He commented that there is the need to have the capital region for Andhra Pradesh, but spending so much money is not wise.
He noted that there is the obvious need to have the secretariat and High Court building in the capital but this must be done on a lower budget. He expressed his opinion that spending all the money on Amravati is not the right thing. Further noted that pushing all financial resources on one single entity is not the ideology of JSP either.
However, this incoherent remark made by the senior political observer was immediately rebuked by TDP. Cabinet Minister Nimmala Rama Naidu stated that Jogaiah must refrain from making such comments.
“Amaravati is the lifeline of Andhra Pradesh and it is a self financing project that will show the future for the state. At a time when the capital is going to regain its glory under the new government and the backend activities are underway to reconstruct the city of dreams, it is sad to see a senior like Jogaiah speaking like a YCP leader” Ramanaidu remarked.
As pointed out by the minister, Amaravati is essentially the lifeline for Andhra Pradesh after having struggled like a capital-less state for five years under Jagan. If Amaravati doesn’t get materialize this term, the AP could well end up as a state without a capital and the situation could be beyond repair then.
