Revanth Reddy Busts BRS’s Talk About Delhi Flights

One of the political narratives that the opposition BRS has been using against chief minister, Revanth Reddy is his frequent visits to Delhi. Their argument is that Revanth Reddy is frequenting Delhi and taking special flights to reach the destination and meet PM Modi and others.

Incidentally, the chief minister took it upon himself to clarify on this matter in the Telangana assembly today, and he had a pretty strong statement to make.

“The reason I am going to Delhi frequently is to sort out the global team projects that are being carried out in Hyderabad. I’m meeting the PM and external affairs minister to sort out the global projects that are in the development. Even last week, I went to Delhi to meet minister Jaishankar to convince him to facilitate the global summits and subsequent Miss World completion that is being held here with representatives from 140 countries” Revanth Reddy said.

The chief minister, further said he is taking only commercial flights and travelling with the common public while travelling to Delhi on political trips.

“Barring one or two occasions, I have never taken charted flights to Delhi. I have been travelling in commercial aircraft along with the common public for nominal ticket prices. Unlike KCR and his men who used to abuse these allowances through special flights, I’m keeping it very simple.” The CM said.

The BRS and its affiliated media has been keeping count of the Delhi visits of Revanth Reddy and creating stories on the same using the flight tickets issue. It was needed for the CM to clarify on this matter and he did the same comprehensively in the assembly.
