Lokesh Gives Timely, Needed Lesson To Cadres!

It is an undeniable fact that the Telugu Desam party has the strongest cadre for any political party in Andhra Pradesh. This is one of the principal reasons why the party has been relevant to this day, despite completing over four decades in a tough Andhra Pradesh political scenario.

However, the issue that has been persisting with the party is the occasional disconnect from top leadership and rootlevel cadres after the party comes to power. While Chandrababu had been going front and back on this issue for the last few years, he promises to be more in tune with the sensibilities of the cadres this time around.

Incidentally, even Lokesh is clearly focused on this aspect as he delivered a crucial and timely message to them while addressing a TDP cadre meeting yesterday.

“We humans often tend to sulk when there’s an issue. We even sulk over not getting coffee or tea sometimes. On that note, our party cadre had also been sulking a few times here and there. But don’t repeat that this time. This is your(cadre) party. Fight for what you believe. If you think you’re not getting justice, demand and question your MLAs and MPs. You’re free to demand even Lokesh for that matter.” Lokesh said.

One of the principle detractors for TDP over the years is the lack of communication between the cadres and leadership which eventually led to cadres going silent during the election and ultimately, TDP losing. This was acknowledged by chief minister Chandrababu himself as he pointed this as the reason behind the defeat in 2004 and 2019.

However, Lokesh has a more practical and effective solution for this matter now. He gave a clear instruction to the cadre by communicating TDP is a cadre party and they’re free to question whoever isn’t working in their interests.
