Why Naga Babu Completely Avoids Varma?

At the fundamental level, the cordial relationship relationships between the three alliance parties in Andhra Pradesh – Telugu Desam, Janasena, and BJP appear to be very good. In fact, deputy chief minister, Kalyan had recently stated that Chandrababu must be the chief minister for the next 10 to 15 years.

Even at individual constituency level, Kalyan appears to be on good terms with TDP’s ex MLA from Pithapuram, SVSN Varma who largely contributed to Kalyan’s win. In fact, Kalyan specifically noted that Varma was of great help for him in the recent election campaign and attributed partly success of his win to the latter.

However, there appears to be some sort of miscommunication and misunderstanding at the lower level. This was evident in the case of the recent visit of Naga Babu to the Gollaprolu village in Pithapuram. This was his first official visit to the Pithapuram constituency after getting nominated as an MLC.

Incidentally, Naga Babu happened to inaugurate a new Anna canteen that was assembled in this village. But there was this one significant political protocol mishap that happened here.

Notably, this political visit of Naga Babu to Pithapuram constituency did not feature SVSN Varma. While Kalyan proudly said Varma is a crucial factor for his win from Pithapuram, TDP supporters are opining Naga Babu isn’t on the same page as he avoided Varma for a government activity in the very same Pithapuram.

Even in the recent JSP plenary, Naga Babu took an indirect jibe at Varma by saying “Anyone who thinks they are the reason behind Kalyan’s triumph are illogical. Adi vaalla “karma”.” He said. This triggered Varma and TDP’s loyalists then. And now, it is the fact that Naga Babu avoided Varma on his Pithapuram visit.

Notably, Varma’s followers reportedly shouted “Jai Varma” slogans during Naga Babu’s visit. This further triggered “Jai Pawan Kalyan” “Jai Janasena slogans” by JSP troops. The issue got pacified quickly though.

But the hard fact is that Naga Babu, completely ignored the presence of Varma in his visit to Pithapuram. This is in contradiction to the high value that Kalyan places on Varma.
