Liquor Files: After Sai Reddy, It’s Midhun Reddy

The hugely controversial liquor scam allegations against the previous YCP ecosystem are coming back to haunt them. After Vijayasai Reddy came under the radar of the Andhra Pradesh CID, it is now the turn of sitting MP Midhun Reddy.

Incidentally, Sai Reddy took part in the CID investigation yesterday and revealed a few facts. He openly stated that Raj Kasireddy is the criminal mind behind the operation, and MP Midhun Reddy is also involved.

Just a day after Sai Reddy made this shocking revelation in this highly controversial case, it is now Midhun Reddy’s turn to appear before the authorities for investigation.

A few minutes ago, Midhun Reddy arrived at the Vijayawada Commissioner of Police office, and he is currently taking part in the investigation regarding the liquor scam case.

However, he was clever about it, having already approached the Supreme Court for anticipatory bail and then the AP High Court for favorable conditions. He appeared for investigation only after the High Court instructed authorities to investigate him in the presence of his lawyers.

The primary allegations in this case involve liquor brand licensing, illicit packaging, and cash-only transactions that were allegedly enforced during the YCP tenure.

NDA representatives claim that this is one of the biggest liquor scams in the country’s history—possibly even bigger than the infamous Delhi liquor scam. If the facts of this case are established and presented in public forums, the credibility of Jagan and his party could take a massive hit.
