Former AP Intelligence Chief PSR Anjaneyulu Arrested

The Andhra Pradesh CID officials arrested former AP Intelligence Chief and IPS officer, PSR Anjaneyulu, in connection with the harassment case filed by actress Kadambari Jethwani. He was taken into custody in Hyderabad and is being transferred to Andhra Pradesh. The officials will interrogate him regarding this case during his custody.

Anjaneyulu worked as AP Intelligence Chief under the YSR Congress Party government in the past. He is also considered one of the close aides of former Chief Minister and YCP Chief, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Anjaneyulu was named as A2 in this harassment case. Already, former Vijayawada CP Kanthirana Thatha and IPS officer Vishal Gunni were suspended with respect to this case.

Reportedly, PSR Anjaneyulu was at the forefront of this case and planned a plot to arrest Jethwani. He made YCP leader Kukkala Vidyasagar file a case against Jethwani. Thus, Vidyasagar filed a case against her, alleging that she forged fake documents of his properties and sold them to others.

Based on that complaint, AP police arrested Jethwani and her parents. Their arrest and interrogation were handled by Kanthirana Thatha and Vishal Gunni. After the government was changed, Jethwani complained about the harassment she faced, which resulted in the registration of cases against Anjanyeulu and others.
