The recent terrorist attack on Indian civilians in Pahalgam Jammu and Kashmir has deeply instigated the Indian government and also the defence forces. This incident even mandate a high-level meeting between the Prime Minister and the defence authorities in Delhi last night.
While the contents of this meeting are obviously confidential, the communication that was made to media clearly implied that the Indian government is set for some substantial action.
PM Narendra Modi affirmed that it is our national resolve to deal a crushing blow to terrorism. The PM expressed complete faith and confidence in the professional abilities of the Indian Armed Forces. He said that they have complete operational freedom to decide on the mode, targets, and timing of our response.
It has been affirmatively confirmed that the Indian Army has been given a free hand in terms of operational procedures in an attempt to eradicate terrorism.
This comes shortly after the Indian Army had already conducted anti-terrorism search operations and elimination process in Kashmir and other parts of the country.
There is the growing demand in the public to take substantial action against the terrorism groups in Kashmir and other parts of the country so that incidents like Pahalgam’s do not happen in the future.
