YS Jagan has been consistently distancing himself from those once close to him, including his own mother and sister Vijayamma, Sharmila and now, Vijayasai Reddy as well.
After decades of close association with the YS family, Sai Reddy recently announced his political retirement. However, he has occasionally taken jabs at Jagan’s inner circle, stirring up controversy in political circles.
Today, Jagan went all out against Sai Reddy in his press meet, openly expressing his disappointment with his former confidant.
Jagan pointed out that Sai Reddy still had 3.5 years left in his Rajya Sabha term but chose to vacate the seat, allegedly to benefit Chandrababu Naidu and the NDA government.
“Sai Reddy was a representative of YCP in the Rajya Sabha. He still had 3.5 years left in his tenure. But he decided to give up his seat to benefit Chandrababu and his party, even though he knew YCP was struggling and could not afford to lose that seat,” Jagan stated.
He further remarked that Sai Reddy has no credibility left to speak against the YSR Congress Party and made it clear he no longer trusts his former ally.
This strong public statement by Jagan signals a complete fallout between the two. What was once a tight-knit political alliance has now turned into a public spat. With Jagan’s fierce comments making headlines, many now anticipate a sharp response from Sai Reddy as well. This political rift is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing developments in Andhra Pradesh politics.
