Chandrababu Naidu is regarded as one of the most progressive and forward thinking chief minister, not just in South India, but all across the country. He has the reputation of thinking ahead of time and creating action plans with futuristic goals in mind.
However, a recent development involving the CM has created a controversy and it had something to with the HAL project in Bengaluru.
Initially, Chandrababu Naidu opined that Hindustan Aeronautics Limited(HAL) has optimal location and logistical support if they set up a plant in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. This was a very generic statement from Chandrababu Naidu.
However, there was a major political meltdown that happened after the statement from Babu. The story was carried in such a way that Chandrababu had indirectly persuaded HAL to leave its existing plant in Bengaluru and move to Andhra Pradesh. This was potentially turning out to be a complex situation between Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka governments.
However, Chandrababu Naidu was to react to the situation as he addressed with the topic on stage in the second day of Mahanadu.
Babu clarified that it was never his intention to hijack a project from another state. “My only intention was to bring HAL to Andhra Pradesh because we have favourable conditions here. Anantapur would be the optimal place for civil aviation facilities. But I never meant that HAL must move out of Karnataka and come to AP. I have never operated in bad faith with any other state, and it is never maintain to grab their projects.”
While this issue was threatening to go out of bounds, the chief minister effectively clarified on the same and settled the dust for once and for all.
