TDP Supremo and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu warned his party MLAs of expulsion, if they behaved detrimental to the interests of the party and the government. In such a case, a few of you will remain as one-time MLAs, he said. He held a teleconference with the ministers, MPs and MLAs on Saturday, marking the completion of one year of the TDP-led NDA government in the state.
Naidu informed his party leaders that their performance reports were in his hands and that he was examining them keenly. None of the non-performers will be spared. Just for the sake of a couple of party leaders, the future of the party or the people cannot be put at stake, he clarified.
Naidu said that he would meet every MLA and speak to them in detail about their strengths and weaknesses. All the dedicated and hardworking leaders will be provided better opportunities and good recognition, he promised.
He suggested that the first-time MLAs stop being overconfident and act crazily. People unanimously voted to the TDP unable to bear the harassment of the previous government. Live along with the public and try to get closer with them, he advised.
The TDP chief said that he was getting surveys done on the party leaders regularly to know about their outreach to the public. Stay away from controversies and accusations.
In some instances, the entire government will be forced to face the blame just for the sake of a handful of MLAs. Ensure that such situations do not arise, he told the party legislators and other elected representatives.
