Nagababu Says He Made the First Sacrifice for Alliance Unity

Janasena MLC Nagababu said he was the first person to step back for the sake of Alliance unity. He clarified that he withdrew his nomination for the Anakapalli MP seat immediately after party chief Pawan Kalyan directed him to do so. He said respecting the coalition dharma is more important than personal ambition and all leaders and party workers of Jana Sena, TDP, and BJP should understand this responsibility.

Speaking at the Anakapalli district party meeting, Nagababu said some people are unnecessarily talking about post-sharing in the coalition and trying to create confusion. He said such conspiracies should be countered firmly. Nagababu said North Andhra is no longer a backward area, and the aim is to develop it socially, economically, technically, and politically under the new government. That’s why he chose to work for the region, he added.

He revealed that party president Pawan Kalyan is personally reviewing all committee appointments from state to village level. He strongly criticized the previous YSRCP government, saying it was full of corruption from liquor to land.

Nagababu said he had started campaign activities in Anakapalli as his name was first announced for the MP seat. But later, as per alliance agreement, the seat was given to BJP, and he stepped back immediately, following the coalition rule. After that, he felt lucky to work in Pithapuram, where Pawan Kalyan contested and won.

He said he has great love and respect for North Andhra and its leaders and announced that a Jana Sena office will soon be opened in the region. He said he would work with Anakapalli MLA Konathala Ramakrishna and other senior leaders to take forward development activities.

Nagababu also said that in just one year, the NDA government did what YSRCP failed to do in five years. He mentioned new roads worth ₹350 crore in agency areas like Araku and Paderu, covering 200 villages. He added that for future generations to live better lives, this alliance government must stay in power for a long time.

Go back a few months – many TDP workers were upset when Nagababu reportedly said that Jana Sena alone was responsible for Pawan Kalyan’s victory in Pithapuram, ignoring the hard work of TDP leaders like SVSN Varma. This caused tension between the allies. Some TDP members even expressed concern that Nagababu’s statements were creating trouble within the coalition. However, the issue was settled after Chandrababu Naidu announced that Nagababu would be inducted into the cabinet in the future.

Despite all this, Nagababu’s message was clear, that he put alliance unity first and stepped back when asked. His actions show commitment, but his words need to match that spirit if the coalition is to continue smoothly.
