Pic Talk: CBN Meets Kadapa Heroes!

Historically speaking, the Kadapa district has fundamentally been with the YS family. This is in tune with the fact that YSR Congress was also significantly strong in the Rayalaseema region, mainly powered by their dominance in the Kadapa segment.

However, this Kadapa fortress was absolutely annihilated by TDP in the 2024 assembly election, followed by the clean sweep in the ZPTC election that was held recently.

For the first time in many decades, Ontimitta and Pulivendula ZPTC elections were held in a constitutional manner. And ironically, Why are Congress was beaten to death in both these segments where the masses turned up to vote in big numbers.

TDP’s Latha Reddy(Pulivendula ZPTC) and Krishna Reddy(Ontimitta ZPTC) won the election very comprehensively and they’re now being rewarded richly.

Incidentally, chief minister Chandrababu himself met these two ZPTC winners in what could be considered a morale boosting gesture. He personally met and congratulated these two Kadapa heroes who ended YCP dominance here.

Babu also made time to meet the rootlevel leadership who fought really hard for this victory and congratulated them on the historic achievement. This is going to largely energise the Kadapa TDP ecosystem further, if they’re aren’t pumped up already with the recent ZPTC triumph.
