The government of Andhra Pradesh implemented one of its most prestigious electoral promises in the form of the free RTC bus travel program for women. This ambitious project came to implementation on August 15, and it is running super successfully now.
Incidentally, chief minister Chandrababu held a review meeting on this program yesterday and he discussed in depth the details associated with this project.
Babu advised the authorities to ensure that all these designated buses for free RTC travel have live tracking enabled on them to ensure women’s safety. Apart from the women safety proposition, the live tracking will also enable women to keep track of the timings of these buses and plan their commute accordingly.
It has been reported that 13 districts across Andhra Pradesh have reported hundred percent occupancy in the free RTC travel programme, which is an indication of the fact that the masses are in love with this program.
Another crucial observation that has been made is that women are reportedly using this free bus travel only for imminent needs and are not abusing the program, which would in turn stress the government‘s finances further. Babu father instructed the authorities to ensure these free buses have adequate stickering on the front and back for easy identification.
It turns out to be that this free bus program is going to be the game changer for the NDA government as it has reached the masses already and could largely influence the women voting patterns in the next election.
